Taylor Builder's Edition 514ce Natural top w/Case

The Next Generation Builder’s Edition 514ce is Taylor’s newest take on the Grand Auditorium shape, built with a Sitka spruce top and Shamel ash back and sides. The combination gives the guitar a warm, focused midrange with a dry, woody character and a clear, responsive top end. Inside, Taylor’s scalloped V-Class bracing adds extra sustain and a more open, resonant feel.
Playability is a major part of this model. It uses Taylor’s long-tenon Action Control Neck, which makes dialing in the perfect setup straightforward, and the beveled armrest, chamfered edges, and beveled cutaway give the guitar a smooth, almost seamless feel against the body and fretting hand. Ultra-precise Gotoh 510 tuners round out the hardware.
For live use, the 514ce includes Taylor’s Claria pickup system with simple soundhole?mounted controls for volume, tone, and mid contour. Visually, it features a natural Sitka top paired with a Kona Burst finish on the back, sides, and neck, along with a firestripe pickguard, Italian acrylic rosette, and Compass inlays. It comes in a brown Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
